Fountain City FC teams are separated into 3 categories: Elite, Premier, and Select. This allows for players of all skill levels to develop while being challenged and finding success.

Our model allows for progressive and gradual changes which ultimately lead to a higher level of play, decision making, physical and cognitive ability. Through this combination of growth, maturation and learning, players are given the training necessary to achieve their goals.

All players experience growth at different rates and throughout different stages of the Development Model. However, our player-centered approach and team structure maintains continuous progress with each age level. This gives players the ability to grow at whichever level best suits their individual needs.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT EMPHASIS BY AGE

Fountain City FC players are able to develop to their full potential through game-like training in a positive and supportive environment. Coaches take a player-centric approach which allows for individual growth within the team as a whole. As each player finds success, the team does as well.

Our player pathway is based around the 4 Tenants of an FC Player (MIST). Coaches base their weekly and season training goals on our overall club curriculum. Emphasis is placed on key areas at different stages in a player's development. At the younger ages, players work heavily on the technical aspects and ball mastery. As they progress, focus gradually shifts to more tactical emphasis for the team as a whole.
