Craig Wong is a Staff Coach with Fountain City FC, joining in 2024.
Craig has over 20 years of involvement in soccer as a player, a coach and a referee, brining a wealth of experience and passion to the game. For the past 15 years, he has been dedicated to coaching youth soccer, spending the last 9 years nurturing young talent at OP Soccer Club. He holds a USSF E license, underscoring his commitment to providing quality coaching.
His coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that soccer is not just about winning and losing but about instilling life lessons and fostering personal growth. "One of the questions that I frequently get is...am I concerned about winning and losing? Absolutely not! Let’s face it: very few are going to be college players. Even fewer are going to be pros. What I care about is that they exude quality. I want them to be proud of the effort in everything that they do, and I want them to grow up to be outstanding young people."
At the core of Craig's coaching approach is the goal for players to enjoy playing and develop a love for the game. By creating a positive and supportive environment, he ensures that every player not only improves their soccer skills but also learns valuable lessons that will benefit them throughout their lives.
Whether on the field or off, Craig is dedicated to helping young athletes become the best versions of themselves, instilling a sense of pride, effort, and excellence in everything they do.
